"Yuge 28" is not just a documentary; it’s a deeply personal exploration that mirrors my own journey through the cycle of life and death. Inspired by my experiences and reflections during a pilgrimage, I felt compelled to capture the essence of what it means to seek spirituality amid the chaos of everyday life.

Following 150 humble pilgrims as they walk 581 kilometers to Pandharpur over 32 days, I witnessed firsthand their struggles, joys, and the profound connections they forged along the way. Their laughter and tears became a powerful reminder of our shared humanity and the emotional tapestry that unites us all.

Through the lens of their journey, I sought to explore how saintly discourses and devotional songs provided solace and guidance, helping them navigate their path away from worldly entanglements. By intertwining their experiences with these spiritual teachings, I aimed to create an intimate portrayal of their quest for understanding, which resonates deeply with my own search for meaning.

In creating this film, I hope to share not just their stories, but also the transformative power of faith and the connections we all share with the divine. This documentary reflects my belief in the beauty of the pilgrimage experience and the profound insights it can offer to anyone willing to listen.

YUGE 28
Through the ages.
